Hi
background: I have a Sony Ericsson W810i, which I believe supports bluetooth apps written in java. I've a HTPC (home theater PC) running XP with a bluetooth USB dongle which hosts my music collection. Out of the box the phone has a windows media player "interface" but this is limited to prev next pause/play stop, this does not meet my requirements. (this only seems to with with laptops with embedded bluetooth HW anyway) I want to put a ipod like interface on the phone/client. the phone would only deal with meta data such as song title artist, and other ipod menu fields. the playing would the done by the HTPC. and the transmission of track data to the phone and subsequent selection responses would be done via bluetooth.
My Question: is there a server client application implemented that i can build upon , rather than re-enventing the wheel.
thanks john
