 Huh

Ok, hold my hand up – I know very little about Bluetooth but need to pick some knowledge up and find a solution very quickly why trying this forum.

I am building an application at the moment (in Java). The application will run on a Laptop where data will be collected and stored in a MySQL dB. (Laptop Operative system is XP Pro Service SP2)

I want to at the end of the day be able to transfer the records created on the Laptop and stored in the dB over to a stationary ‘Base’ PC in the office that has the same set up in regards to the dB infrastructure and operative system.

I want the Bluetooth Laptop (Master) to send all Records to the Stationary PC (Slave) and when all records are done and transferred successfully I then want the slave to respond with a value to mark the transmitted records on the Laptop for deletion (just a value in each of the records that later can be used to identify these records as successfully transmitted)

As I do not want to reinvent the wheel and find it hard to believe that this has not been done many times before - My question is, is there any quick fixes in regards to what I want to do in regards to development kits that are easy to configure with the correct Java knowledge? API’s that can be bought that already cater for what I am trying to do?

Any information that can point me in the right direction is highly appreciated.

Regards
Henrik
